I believe writing is a personal and social practice. Writing can be used to develop a greater sense of self, community and wellness. I partner with people, organizations and projects that center writing as a creative tool for education, human advocacy, cultural impact, and publishing.

I'm a Black poet who is passionate about writing. Although poetry is usually printed, I desire for my work to be considered as public art. I am committed to creating beyond the page. I want my poetry to be read, heard, seen, danced --experienced in non-traditional spaces.
But a poet has to eat, right?
I have over 10 years of non-profit experience as a program coordinator, strategic planner, marketing and communications, grant writer and evaluator. I am uniquely positioned to work as a writer who creates with passion and works as a professional.
